Most Common Covenant Violations

Over the years, several problems have developed into stalwart standouts as the prime covenant violations. Herewith, we share them with you:

bullet

Cars parked in yards and driveways, seemingly forever but certainly for longer than the 24 continuous hours are not allowed. CARS SHOULD NOT BE PARKED ON the street and never on SIDEWALKS. If you own more than 2 cars, it is your responsibility to accommodate them on your driveway. We understand special occasions, parties and visiting friends but what we are talking about is the daily parking of vehicles on our busy streets. The Pool/Tennis parking area is NOT A PUBLIC PARKING LOT. Do not leave any vehicles there without permission from the Board. We have contracted a towing company to remove cars/trucks left parks overnight.

bullet

Boats, trailers, play equipment or trash/debris/construction materials/cleaning materials can not be left in the driveway or front of lots

bullet

Mailboxes and/or posts in disrepair – Please refer to new mailbox design and requirements in MRC newsletter June 2005

bullet

Dogs and Cats wandering freely. Cobb County has a leash law; please follow it.

bullet

Yards in desperate need of maintenance.  Overgrown bushes, lawns without proper edging, yard debris left on street after mowing, weeds growing in sidewalks and driveways. Make sure to keep trees and bushes trimmed back to avoid blocking sidewalk use.

bullet

Lack of Bed Refurbishing (Mulch or pine straw).

bullet

Front doors in need of a fresh coat of paint; pressure washing siding stained with mildew and need for new paint. Broken and faded shutters. Fences in disrepair.

bullet

Stained and missing shingles; proper roof maintenance.

bullet

Gutters clogged, deteriorating or displaced.

bullet

Garbage Cans visible from the street.

Making an exterior change to your home or lot without submitting to the Modification Review Committee (MRC) for approval.
